Born in Greenville County, Mrs. Cooper was the daughter of the late Alvis (Tac) and Mary Thomason Brashier.
Mrs. Cooper retired from Cryovac after 26 years of service and has been a member of Unity Baptist Church for the past 70 years, where during this time she was active in all areas of the church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 62 years, are a daughter, Elaine Cooper DuVall of the home; a son, Robert Gene Cooper and his wife, Racine, of Fountain Inn; four grandchildren, Charles (Chuck) DuVall of Simpsonville, Johnna DuVall Forrester of Greer, Jason Cooper of Greenville and Ashley Cooper of Simpsonville; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Forrester of the home, Brent Cooper of Simpsonville and Caroline Pressley of Greer.
"Her Children arise up and call her blessed, her husband also and he praiseth her" Pr. 31:27.
Mrs. Cooper was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, Sept. 18, 2005, at Cannon Funeral Home Simpsonville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at Unity Baptist Church, 1000 Fairview Road, Simpsonville.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Cooper's nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be "special cousins," Lawrence, Frank, Fred, Bob, and Ed Brashier.
