FRANK BRIGGS DIES AT AGE 72
Frank E. Briggs, 72, Kempster, Langlade county, former maintenance and yard foreman for the North Western Road in Madison, died Wednesday night at his home. A former Madison resident for 30 years, he had lived in Kempster for the past seven years.
Mr. Briggs was born in Shawano county in 1889.
He was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 50 in Madison.
Surviving are his wife, the former Frieda Hoffmann; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Denruiter, Milwaukee; one son, Floyd F. Briggs, Monroe, La.; four brothers, Lee Briggs, Cadott, Chippewa county; Thomas Briggs, Kempster; George M. Briggs, Madison, and Melvin Briggs, Milwaukee; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bradley funeral home, Antigo, from 4 p.m. Sunday until time of services.
Funeral rites will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home at Antigo, with the Rev. Edward Busse of the Elcho Congregational Church officiating. Antigo Masonic Lodge No. 231 will also conduct services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, Antigo.
