Mrs. Sloan (Luella N.) Smeltzer, 81, of Ford City RD 1, died at 8:20 p.m. yesterday at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Emanuel Heilman Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Lutheran Church Woman's Society. Born Oct. 14, 1893, in Manorville, she was the daughter of George L. and Sarah Jane (Dunmire) Brown. Surviving are her husband, Sloan R. Smeltzer; a son, Laird E. Smeltzer of Ford City RD 1; four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Naomi) Reed of Ford City RD 1, Mrs. John (Caroline) Haney of Guthrie Road, Ford City, Mrs. William (Ruth) Zeigler of Kittanning RD 3, Mrs. Eli (Lois) Relich of Appleby Park, Ford City; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Chamberlain of Coraopolis, Mrs. Gertrude Arner of Ford City and Mrs. Elsie Hellam of Kittanning; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased. SMELTZER – Friends of Mrs. Luella N. Smeltzer who died March 4, 1975, will be received after 7 tonight at Faykosh Funeral Home, Ford City, where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Phillip Ramsted, pastor of Brick Church Lutheran Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Heilman Cemetery. Arrangements by Faykosh.
