He is the maternal grandson of John Lewis Kilpatrick & Frances Holland Moseley of Lenoir County, NC.
Both the Arnold and Lane family have long roots in Craven county, but the Herbert Lane Arnold Sr. moved his family to the Garner area sometime after 1920. Charles was part of this move.
Charles Sheldon never married and died 1964 at age 64.
