He had several wives. There were three children by Maria Katharine Olsen (our ancestor); Eight children by Elizabeth Gardner and at least one by Mary Hazelwood.
George B. Higginson was a missionary in the Creek Nation and knew Elder Parley P. Pratt. The story is told in our family that Elder Higginson gave Elder Parley B. Pratt his last drink of water. We know from a history of Elder Pratt that after his murder, George B. Higginson helped to bury Elder Pratt.
Apostle Parley P. Pratt was assassinated by Hector H. McLean near Van Buren, Crawford Co.,Arkansas. Following is an account of the assassination written by Elder George Higginson to
