MARTHA BARANOWSKI, passed away March 7, 2009 after battling stroke issues for 10 years. Born in the New Waverly area, she moved to Houston in 1942 and worked 9 years for Nabisco. She was married to Ed Baranowski for 60 years and operated a child daycare center in her home for 45 years. Martha was a charter member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and active in the Eucharistic Ministry, Altar Society, and Senior Adults. In 1995 she was honored as an Outstanding Senior Adult by the Senior Senate of the Galveston-Houston Diocese. She was a member of the Court Christ the King No. 1750 Catholic Daughters for over 30 years. Survived by her husband Ed, daughter and son-in-law Delores and Michael Chambers, and grandson Clay, sister Margaret Bukowski, brothers Kie Kopczynski and John Kopcyznski. Preceded in death by siblings Gertrude Moore, Betty Kopczynski and Ignatius Kopczynski. Visitation Tuesday, March 10 from 6-8pm with Rosary at 7pm at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Funeral Mass, Wednesday, March 11 at 11am at St. Jerome, 8825 Kempwood at Hollister. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine at Katy Freeway.
