PAULDING — Laura Jean Bland, 83, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Gardens of Paulding.
She was born July 19, 1925, in Paulding County, the daughter of Eugene and Ada (Dickerson) Stephen. She retired in 1988 from the Dana Weatherhead Corp. of Antwerp, following 20 years of service. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Paulding. She was a member of the Paulding VFW Post #587 Auxiliary and the Paulding F.O.E. Post #2405 Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue A. Bland of Columbus; two sons, Stephen Bland of Paulding and Eugene (Brenda) Bland of Centerville, Ohio; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don W. (Donna) Stephen of California and Eugene (Sandy) Stephen of Kendallville, Ind.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Allen and Jack Stephen.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial was in the Hedges Cemetery in Paulding County.
