On the June 4, 1900 census for Crumpton Village, Queen Anne's County, MD, Floyd E. Bloxton was 38 years old, having been born May 7, 1867 in Virginia -- the oldest child of Charles Benjamin Bloxton and Clementine Virginia Bloxton, both also born in Virginia. He was listed as a Minister, having been married for four years to Emily A. (DeShane) Bloxton, 28 years old, having been born May 1872 in Maryland to parents also born in Maryland. Both of the daughters born to them were living at that time in 1900:

Rev. Floyd E. Bloxton (aka "Emmet Floyd" Bloxton), b. Nanticoke, MD on May 7, 1867 - d. Lynchburg, VA on March 8, 1908 - Graduate of Randolph-Macon College and member of the Wilmington Conference, M.E. Church & Baltimore Conference, Methodist Episcopal Church; author "Pentecostal Conversion" (154 pages, published 1903) and also published the "Church News" while pastor of Trappe-Faith Chapel, 1901-1903, Trappe, MD.

The following appointment was announced: Salisbury District--Bishopville, supplied by F.E. BLOXTON. Dover, Delaware Convention then adjourned the morning of Wednesday, March 25, 1896.

His widow, Mrs. Emily (DeShane) Bloxton, d. Sunday, January 19, 1913, and her body was transported from her home in Baltimore, MD, to Elkton, MD, with burial in Bethel Cemetery (nearest Bethel Cemetery in Chesapeake City, MD).
