Arthaleen Wright Allington

Arthaleen Wright Allington, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, slipped away quietly to join her loving eternal sweetheart, Walter, at the age of 95, on May 31, 1998, with her family at her side.

She was born October 17, 1902 in Union, Utah.She will be remembered for her cheerful nature and ever present smile. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served willingly in various organizations. She was a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters; her husband, Walter; and two daughters, Doris and Lucille.

She is survived by her children, Leah (Dean) Nielsen, Phyllis (Frank) Turner, Ray (Wendy) Allington, Arlene (Dean) Smart, Frank (Lynda) Allington, Fay (Richard) Burnett; 27 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at the Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East at 11 a.m. Friends and family may call Tuesday 7-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service. She will be laid to rest at the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 Vine Street. Funeral directors, Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary.
