His parents were John Bud and Maggie May Bell Smith, he was the youngest boy of twelve children. James, Carrie, Marshall, John, Magnolia, Susie, Gladys, Elizabeth Ruth, Charlie, Anna Laura and Robert Lee. He was a family oriented person, my uncle was very close to his children and also close to his brothers and sisters.

He was United in Holy Matrimoney to Doris Halliday and to that union three children were born. Virgil Jr., Karen and Kathy. Doris preceeds him in death. Later in is life he married Arlene Signal.

Virgil was employed at Ford Motor Company for many years and retired from there.

He is my mother's baby brother. My favorite uncle. He had the greatest since of humor, he loved going to the Kentucy Deby.

Now all the Smith's are united together in Heaven. He will be greatly missed.
