Her parent's were John and Maggie Bell Smith, she was one of twelve children six boys and six girls. James, Carrie, Marshall, John, Magnolia, Susie, Elizabeth Ruth, Virgil, Charlie, Anna Laura and Robert Lee. .

She is my aunt, my mother's sister. She was always a lot of fun. She loved to dance and have a good time.
She was married to Jessie Knighten. They didn't have any children. Later on in her life she had a companion William Russell.

Out of all my sisters and girl cousins I was her favorite. She worked for the City of Detroit for many years and was also a silk presser for several dry cleaning establishments in the Detroit, Michigan area.
She was very close to her brothers and sisters and my mothers children.

She was defosting her refrigerator and some how she was electrocuted. Her neighbors hadn't seen her around which was strange to them so they called my aunt and they found her in her kitchen.
