Tom was preceded in death by his parents William "Bill" and May (Troyer) Turner and his brother, Bill Turner. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, two sons, sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a graduate of Topeka High School in 1950, served four years as a medic in the U. S. Navy, graduated in 1959 from the Purdue University School of Pharmacy. He worked for Abbott Laboratories in Chicago from 1959 - 1969, owned and was a pharmacist at Turner Pharmacy, Topeka, IN from 1969 - 1978, Was Vice-President of Tite Lok, Topeka, In from 1978-1990, and worked as a pharmacist for Wal Mart Pharmacy in Goshen, IN from 1991 until he retired May 1, 2008. He was a member of Rho Chi Society. He attended Topeka Baptist Church. He served on the LaGrange County BZA and Plan Commission from 1980 to 1990 and was a lifetime member of LaGrange American Legion and Purdue Alumni Association. 1969 - 1978 he was a member of the Topeka Chamber of Commerce; 1969 - 1978 he was a member of the Topeka Businessmen's Association; 1980 - 1983 he was a member of the Topeka Park Board; 1980 - 1983 he was a member of the Town of Topeka Board of Trustees; 1987 - 1989 he was a member of the Topeka Industrial Development Corporation.
