EAST MILLINOCKET and NEW YORK Maxine (LaGassey) Panartos died Feb. 13 in a New York hospital. She was born in Millinocket March 7, 1918, the daughter of Maxim and Clarice (Lizotte) LaGassey. She is survived by one son, Richard E. Logan of Larchmont, N.Y.; two grandsons, Richard E. Jr., and Ronald E. Logan, both of New York; five sisters, Yvonne Thibodeau and Ethelyn Montgomery, both of East Millinocket, Nadia Althizer of Bangor, Clarice DeNuccio and Lillian McMahon, both of New York City, several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Catholic Church in East Millinocket. Friends may call at the James G. Dowd Funeral Home, 47 Main St., East Millinocket, Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Spring burial will be in St. Martin of Tours Cemetery in Millinocket.
