Married to Hazel Lorenna (Chronister)

The Son Of John Leroy And Emma (Frances Roberts) Edwards 1872-1951

David worked 40 years with the Pa railroad as a Mechanic retiring in 1962. His passion was hunting deer and when deer season was over he would go out and hunt groundhogs.
I was only young at the time and can remembering him bringing those ugly things home to skin. Mom tried to cook one and told us it was roastbeef well we weren't fooled One taste of it was all it took.
He was a tall fellow 6'4'' about when he held you hand you armed stretched way up and he walked with big giant steps. When he got sick I could remember him being in the hospital and standing outside waving at him with my sisters. At that time we were not allowed to visit him in the hospital for he had TB and had to be isolated at a Hospital in Johnstown for a few years. He did come home but only lived for a few months.
