and the former Fanelie GILBERT.
Husband of:
Marie Eve or Eva ALBARADO

"Jacques Chaisson of Scott was drowned Monday morning at 8 o'clock. The sad accident happened under very peculiar circumstances. Chaisson in company with Antothe Albarado and Lejeune of Crowley had gone out hunting in the morning and were on the plantation of Victor Megnaud [sic -Begnaud?] near Esterwood when the accident happened: In attempting to cross a small creek that runs into the bayou at that place in a small skiff, the boat upset and all were thrown into the stream, Albarado and LeJune after many efforts succeeded in reaching the bank but Chaisson worn out by his exertions while in the water sank for the last time within in six feet of the shore but his companions were unable to render him any aid.
The remains were taken to Crowley and layed out in Dr. F. R. Martin's office from which place they were taken by relatives to Carencro where interment took place."
