Public Sale.
"Succession of Fanelie Gilbert, deceased, for the purpose of affecting a partition between the major and minor heirs,--Jacques Chiasson in his on [own] right and as assignee of Idea Chiasson, Numa Chiasson and Emma Gauthreaux; and Angel Gauthreaux and Berthe Gauthreaux and the minor Isaac Gauthreaux.

NOTICE is hereby given that by virtue of an order issued out of the Hon. the 25th Judicial District Court of the State of Louisiana, holding sessions in and for the parish of Lafayette, dated the 30th day of August 1890. By virtue also out of a commission issued out of said Court, based upon said order and directed to me or any other competent auctioneer, I, the undersigned Sheriff of Lafayette Parish will sell at Public Auction, to the last highest bidder, on Saturday the 18th day of October, 1890, between legal sale hours, at the dwelling house on the tract of land described below, the following proberty, belonging to said succession, to-wit:
-A certain tract of land situated in the parish of Lafayette measuring thirty-four arpents, bounded North by land of Louis Ancelet, South by land of Jacques Chiasson, East by land of Bazile Sonnier, and West by land of Louis Ancelet.
One Dwelling house; One corn crib; One cotton house; One chicken house; 1480 8-feet Pieux; 371 fence posts; 300 garden pieux; 200 lbs. barbed wire; Two mares and colts; One horse; One two-year old colt; Beds and beddings; One loom; Kitchen utensils; One iron brand, &c., &c.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS.--The dwelling house and land be sold separately on a credit of one, two and three years from day of sale; purchasers to furnish their notes payable to their own order by them indorsed with solvent sureties, with eight per cent per annum interest thereron after maturity, said notes to be divided into fractions of seven each, so that each share may be represented by three notes, being each one-seventh of each payment.
Vendor's privilege and mortgage to be reserved to secure payment of notes. The balance of property will be sold for cash."
