NAMPA – Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Today in Shepherd Chapel for Andrew Madsen, 78, who died Tuesday night in his home at 524 16th Ave. So., Nampa.
High Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tomorrow in St. Paul's Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Pratt officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary.
Mr. Madsen was born July 28, 1885, in Monroe, Utah. He married Sarah Farmer on July 22, 1912, in Monroe. She died in 1930. He married Mrs. Pearl K. Jackson, March 18, 1936. Mr. Madsen came to Meridian from Monroe in 1918 and settled on a ranch. He moved to Nampa in 1950 after his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Zelia Ferraro, El Cerrito, Calif., and Mrs. Betty Hennis, Vallejo, Calif.; four sons, Andrew C. Arlington, Va., Leonard Jr., Meridian, Chester, Council, and Carl D., Washington, D C.; a stepson, John William Jackson, Boise; a brother, Edward Madsen, Worland, Wyo., 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Two sons and a stepson preceded him in death.
