Nephi Madsen Dies of Pneumonia at Home Here Tuesday


Nephi Madsen, well known bee keeper died at his home here at 1 p. m. Tuesday, death resulting from pneumonia. Mr. Madson had been ailing all summer but had been confined to his bed only five days before his death.


Nephi Madsen was born at Monroe on September 25, 1880 and spent his boyhood there, attending the Monroe schools. After his marriage to Mary Jane Baldwin in 1910, the family lived in Monroe and for a short time at Annabella. About five years ago they moved to Richfield.


Surviving are the widow; eight children, Karl, Fern, Ray, Elva, Dean, Charles, Darlene and Bobby Madsen all of Richfield; and seven brothers, Martin Madsen of Monroe, Earl Madsen of Richfield, Andrew Madsen of Starr, Idaho, Charles Madsen of St. George, Edwin, Frank and Orvin Madsen of Ogden.


Funeral services will be held in the Monroe South ward, although the time is not definitely set the services will probably be Friday afternoon.
