Four Boys Drowned.
Swept Into Deep Place in Red River and but one of Five Escapes to Report the Tragedy.

Frogville. I. T., Sept. 8.--On last Sunday evening four boys of five who went swim-ming in the river at Pine Bluff near here, were drowned by being swept into deep water. The survivor, John Evans, age 14, rushed from the scene and summond the neighbors, but darkness descended before the bodies could be found. The dead:
GILMER GREGORY, age 16
EMMITT GREGORY, age 11
WILLIE WHARTON, age 11
JESSE EVANS, age 11
Watchers thronged the river bank all night, but the bodies were not found until daylight. About 9 o'clock two of the bodies were dragged out with a seine, and one had frifted in sight. The fourth was found about noon.
Owing to family illness the bodies were not taken home, but were laid beside the road, each on its coffin in the lonesome Red River bottom until burial arrangements could be made. The scene was weird and pitiful.
The bodies of the victime were buried Tuesday in the same grave at Goodwater, I.T., the burial service being conducted by Revs. F.D.Hibben and J.W. Miller.
