Virginia Horton 1907-1993
Virginia Gertrude Green Horton, 86, of Rt. 5, Ashland, died Sunday in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Mrs. Horton was born June 6, 1907 in Carter County, a daughter of the late Robert and Vada Lewis Green. Her husband, William L. "June" Horton, died in 1990.
She was a member of Summit Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Marty Horton of Ashland;a daughter, Mrs. Estella Porter of Ashland; a brother, Charles Green of California; two sisters, Grace Walker and Della Vanover, both of Ashland; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg by Tommy Williams. Burial will be in Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson.
Friends may call from 7 to 5 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
