Claudie McBride, age 94, of Russellville, formerly of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Center in Russellville. A son of the late William Warren and Ada Ammons McBride, he was born April 15, 1908, near Cale, Arkansas (in Nevada County). He retired from the service department of East Texas Motor Freight in Texarkana, and was a member of Highland Church of Christ in Texarkana. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Bever McBride. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jenell and Kenneth Pirtle of Russellville; a brother, Millard McBride of Bluff City, Arkansas; a sister, Lila Franklin of Camden; three grandchildren: Dana Johnson, Teresa McCord and Terry Bell, all of Russellville; six great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.

Following a short viewing period, graveside service and burial will be 3 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2003, at East Memorial Gardens in Texarkana, Arkansas, with Chris Hooten officiating. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 7 P.M., at the funeral home.
