Mrs. Alewine, widow of Lonnie Alewine, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002. Born in Gaston, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Melinda Hall Goodwin. She was a member of Lexington Baptist Church and the Glad Tidings Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her daughters, sons and daughters-in-law, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
