Roy K. Brown was born April 11, 1925, in Watertown, son of Roy H. and Elizabeth Rice Brown. He graduated from Antwerp High School and received a degree in mechanical engineering at Clarkson College, Potsdam. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II as a bombardier instructor navigator.
He married Margery R. Rogers on July 14, 1947, at the Canton Methodist Church with the Rev. Walter S. Dobbie officiating. She died June 19, 1997.
Mr. Brown was a mechanical engineer for 39 years at the Aluminum Company of America, retiring in 1988. He worked for the company in Buffalo, Massena and Tennessee.
He was a member of the St. Lawrence Lake Yacht Club, Elks Lodge 1702, Antwerp Masonic Lodge 226, Emmanuel Congregational Church, Hill 19 Hunting Club and Alcoa 25-Year Club.
