Funeral services for Chester Leon Erickson, 78, of Watts were held Saturday, Jan. 23, in the Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Darrel Jones and Rev. Ronnie Bradshaw officiating.

He was born June 27, 1914 in Santa, California to John and Pearl West Erickson. He died Thursday, Jan 21, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Arkansas.

He was a retail businessman. He was married to Willie Lingle in Drumright on Dec. 25, 1933. He had been a resident of Watts for the past 25 years and was a member of the Norwood Bible Church in Siloam Springs.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Erickson; one son, Johnny Everett Erickson; and one brother, Odean Kirk.

He is survived by his wife, Willie, of the home in Siloam Springs; one daughter, Faynell Welch of Siloam Springs; his mother, Pearl Kirk of West Siloam Springs; one sister, Beatrice Reese of Westville; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Pallbearers were: Mike Smith, John Erickson, Robert Wood, Robert Riley, Ronnie Welch, and Randy Welch.

Flower girls were: Cindy Wood, Carol Riley, Rosalinda Smith, Debbie Williams, and Johnna Sue Wilson.

Burial was in the Bell Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
