On August 13, 2008, Omea F. Arp, passed away after a lengthy illness and will be greatly missed.� Services were held Saturday, August 16, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church located in Milan, NM, which was followed by the Burial at the Bluewater Village Cemetery.� Both Services were officiated by Rev. Helen Lortz and Rev. Garland Moore.
Omea F. Arp was born in St. Charles, South Dakota to Arthur Forrest Dewel Wardrip and Chloe "Lottie" Wardrip on July 21, 1928.� She married Earl D. Arp on September 30, 1947, had four beautiful children, and moved to the Grants area in 1960 with her husband for employment in the uranium industry.� Her loves in life were horses, music, painting, church ministries, and caring for others in need.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; a sister; and her husband.
She is survived by her daughter, Erlynn Thomas and husband, Randall, of Grants; her son, Bruce Arp and wife, Yvette, of Cantina Acres; son, Dustin Arp of San Rafael; and daughter, Dana Arp, of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Shannon Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Ambruss Peters, Jerrica Arp, Quinten Arp, Justin Arp, Zane Arp, Monique Arp, Shelina Griego, and Tawny Valencia.� She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
