Robert Moore, parents unknown, foster son of William C. and Martha E. Broughton. He was in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 21, 1943 and discharged on April 26, 1946 serving during World War II. He married Deana I. Griffin on February 1, 1947 in Lansing, Ingham Co., Michigan. They had seven children, two of whom are deceased, William Lee and Donald Duane, June 30, 1966. Robert Moore passed away February 3, 1988 in Miami, Fl at the age of 61. He was born in Wayne County and had been a resident of Mason most of his life, moving to Hesperia in 1976. He was a long time employee of Cheney Block Company. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. in the Estes Leadley Holt Chapel with Rev. Denny Buwalda, Pastor of the Holt United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment followed in Maple Ridge Cemetery.
