Born in Winona, MN, moved with her family to Mankato where she met and married Fred Borneke. The family later lived in Mpls, then to a Blue Hill township farm. Bessie ran the farm, as Fred was often away from home working for the railroad.
Bessie in later yrs developed "Bright's Disease". During the end stage of the disease stayed in Princeton at the home of her daughter Mable Odegard.
Bessie's funeral was held at the Princeton Congregational Church, she was laid to rest in the peaceful country cemetery.
