Born April 24, 1928, in York, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Ida Belle (Shuppert) Leber.
Irene was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Shrewsbury where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a former member of the Church's Consistory. She also volunteered with the church bazaars, dinner functions, and participated in some church plays. Irene worked for 50 years in plastic moldings at various places before retiring in 1993 from Key Plastics, Winterstown, as a machine operator. In the 70's, Irene was a cafeteria worker for Southern Middle School, Glen Rock. She lived on a farm where she loved raising and caring for the animals. Irene was a passionate and avid gardener and a talented flower arranger.
Irene is survived by two sons John E. Cramer and his wife, Carol, of Eldred, and Mark A. Cramer of Glen Rock; two granddaughters, Sheila Peters and Christina Cramer, both of Port Allegheny; a brother, Raymond Shuppert and his wife, Nancy of Glen Rock. She is also survived by two nieces and three nephews. Irene was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Leber.
Interment will be in Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
