Glen Rock - Mark A. Cramer, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his residence.

Born in York, he was a son of the late Ralph and Irene (Leber) Cramer. Mark was employed as an electromechanical engineer with Johnson Control where he worked on design and construction of circuit boards and power & control wiring used in software test boxes as well as installation of switches and other controls used in the test setup. Mark also worked on design and construction of reliability test rigs used to prove the long term durability of components used in new Variable Speed Drive designs. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Shrewsbury where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed music and was a member of the Brodbeck Band where he played the trombone and trumpet. Mark served in the U.S. Navy Reserve: CVNE: Carrier Augment Unit based at Willow Grove Naval Air Station, Willow Grove Pa. and worked in the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department from Aug. 1997 to March 2002.

Mark enjoyed traveling and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his brother John E. Cramer and wife Carol of Rixford, PA. Mark was preceded in death by his infant sister.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11AM from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom with Rev. Dr. Martha Boyer officiating. Inurnment will follow in Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of his service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, 161 S. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA 17361 in his memory.
