A native of the Netherlands, she came to this county at the age of 12. She was a member of the Sodus Center Presbyterian Church and active in the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She also was a member of Circle Four of the Park Presbyterian Church in Newark. She had lived in this vicinity until the death of her husband in 1959, when she went to reside with her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Hoy, in Newark.
She is survived by three sons, Alfred of Sodus, Frank of Patterson, California, Raymond of Springfield, Massachusetts; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Ila) Waite of Randolph and Mrs.Daniel (Jane) Hoy of Newark; 19 grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Isaac Boise of Williamson and Jacob Boise of Rochester; one sister, Lena Van Hall of East Williamson.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the funeral home of the H. S. Norton Company,Sodus, with the Rev. J. Russell Dunlap officiating. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Sodus Center Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
Burial will be in the Brick Church Cemetery at Sodus Center at the convenience of the family.
