Amanda Purdue
Amanda Sue Purdue, granddaughter of Brown County resident Lottie Purdue, died Friday, November 15, 2002, at Bloomington Hospital. A resident of that city, she was 17.
Born June 25, 1985, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Curtis and Carol (Drake) Purdue. They survive in Bloomington.
She was a sophomore at Bloomington High School South.
Other survivors include a brother, Jeremy Curtis Purdue of Bloomington; maternal grandmother, Joy Herman of Bloomington; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Ellen Worrell of Morgantown; three aunts, Betty Ayres of Jeffersonville, Barbara Cushman of Indianapolis and Lisa Ann Craig of Cincinnati, Ohio; two uncles, John Drake of Indianapolis and Michael Drake of Tampa, Florida; and one great-aunt, Sheryl Priddy of Morgantown.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Drake; paternal grandfather, Wilbert Purdue Jr.; and her paternal great-grandfather, Wilbert Purdue Sr.
Services were held Tuesday, November 19, at Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.
Allen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
