Curtis Ray Purdue, 60, of Greenville S.C. passed away on Monday August 2, 2021 at the St Francis Hospital in Greenville S.C. He was born on January 12, 1961 in Brown County, Indiana the son of Wilbert Purdue Jr. and Lieselotte (Hess) Purdue.

Curtis was a 1980 graduate of Brown County High School and was also attended Ivy Tech in Bloomington. He married the love of his life Carol Drake on December 17, 1983 in Brown County, Indiana they were happily married for 37 years.

He worked for GE in Bloomington and Greenville for over 30 years retiring in January of 2021. Curtis was a member of Woodruff Road Christian Church in Greenville S.C. He enjoyed working, architecture and old cars. He loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Curtis is survived by his wife Carol Drake Purdue of Greenville; his son, Jeremy Curtis (Anna) Purdue of Greenville; his three grandchildren, Nikki Purdue; Hunter Prude and Chase Purdue his sister, Lisa Ann (Bill) Craig; and nephew Luke Craig all of Terra Haute.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter Amanda Sue Purdue.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am Monday August 9, 2021 at the Valhalla Memory Gardens.
