David Monroe Allen, 61, of passed away Monday, April 21, 2008. David was a self employed vendor and a member of AMVETS Post #9, Robert E. Newman VFW Post, the American Legion and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by his children, Denise, Brian, John, Shawn and Charlie; three stepchildren; three sisters; four brothers; 27 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be noon Thursday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Thursday. Donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
