Robert H. Culipher was the Son of Henry Solomon Culipher and Minnie Lee Atkinson and the Wife of Rose Perry. Dad was a Veteran of WWII & Korea. He Jointed the Navy in 1937 and retired 1957 as a Senor Chief Commissary Stewart. After leaving the service he worked on the Newport Naval Base as Manager of the Officers Club. After a few years he went to work for the Newport National Bank as a Teller. While working that job he went to Brown University at night taking banking courses. He later became Bank Manager of the Portsmouth Branch and an Assistant Vise President of the bank. Dad retired from the banking business after 22 years due to illness. Dad was a long time member of the Portsmouth Lyons Club and held the position of Treasurer for many years. Dad was a life long member of the Mason and belonged to the Lodge in his hometown. He is the father of four and had seven Grandchildren, at the time of his death. He loved his Family, Friends, and Country. Dad had a military stile funeral, which he requested, and was buried in his uniform. Most of all he was a Good Husband, a Loving Father, and an Honest Man.
