Mr Iriving Bartow was born in Chester, Nebraska. His father Horatio Bartow was a civil war veteran. Irving's parents brought him to Bruning at age 2. He married Pearl Carpenter on Dec 31, 1912 in Hebron, Nebraska. They made their home in Hebron. After the birth of their child Irvingteen, they moved to Fairbury. Irving and Pearl made Fairbury their life long home. Irving owned the grocery store there. He was a member of the Methodist church. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge. Irving took ill while visiting friends on Sept 2, 1935. He died immediately. He is buried in the Fairbury cemetery.
