Deane was my friend. We were stationed together in Vicenza Italy. On the night of Dec 28, 1968 after a card game, Deane and three other friends, Snowden, Ambroziak and Morris decided to visit a bar in Padova, Italy. On the way back their vehicle struck a tree and all were killed. I was on duty that night and received the call.
May you rest in peace Deane. You are missed.
