Anna Mallard Lawton
Anna "Anne" Mallard Lawton, 88, of Madison died Thursday, April 3, 2008. She was born Anna Mallard on July 2, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio to John L. Mallard and Virginia Ebbert Mallard. She was married to Alfred C. Lawton who preceded her in death. They lived much of their married life in Winter Park, Florida, where Mrs. Lawton worked in the public school system as a secretary.
The Lawtons moved to Madison in 1990 to be near their daughter and grandsons. While here Mrs. Lawton became active in the Prime Timers and was a member of the Boxwood Garden Club. She was a great cook and enjoyed times spent visiting with good friends and her family.
A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6 at Madison Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Madison Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Young Life, P. O. Box 1282, Madison, GA 30650.
