Mrs. Meade Johnson
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Johnson, 78, of 931 Wabash, who died Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Verne McDowell of 930 Kellan, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Eslinger funeral home with burial in Newman cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born November 19, 1874, near Grantville, where she lived until moving to Topeka in 1943. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Besides her daughter, surviving her are a husband, Meade Johnson of the home; one son, Thomas T. Johnson of 915 Western; three brothers, E.I. Cook of 407 East Paramore, C.S. Cook of Grantville and Shelby Cook of Oskaloosa; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
