Mr. Smithgall, of Batavia, NY was a son of Frank & Gertrude Eder Smithgall. He was a retired foreman for the Lehigh Valley Railroad and a WW II veteran. He was the husband of the late Lois Smithgall and the father of the late Allen Smithgall and brother of the late Herman and William Smithgall.
Surviving are 2 sons; Robert Conibear and Donald (Nancy) Smithgall; 3 daughters, Patricia (Joseph) Ruggiero, Donna Smart and Carol (Scott) Orto; 2 brothers, Bob (Marie) Smithgall and Jim (Lucille) Smithgall; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
