Edward Fuller was baptised on 4 September 1575 at Redenhall, Norfolk, England. His father was Robert Fuller, who was a butcher by trade. After receiving 20 pounds in his father's will in 1614, he sold all his possessions and moved to Leiden, Holland where he joined the Separatist Church. The name of Edward Fuller's wife is unknown. Together they had two sons: Mathew (1605) and Samuel (1608). In 1620 he made the decision to take his wife and son Samuel aboard the Mayflower. He and his wife died soon after they arrived in Plymouth. His son Samuel grew to have nine children, and it is from him that the family line descends.
