Jacque Joy 'Welcher' Key was the daughter of James S.
and Abigail 'Youree' Welcher.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Naith
William Key Jr..

A resident of this area all of her life, Jacque attended
Plainview schools and graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1942.

Jacque married Naith William Key on April 6, 1946, at
Gainesville, Texas. For over 40 years, they co-owned and operated Key Feed and Seed located at Broadway and A St.
N.E.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Chester Dennis Sunday School Class, Jacque enjoyed traveling and was a member of the First Ladies Travel Group. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and crafting.
Jacque's life was spent with the simple concept of taking the opportunity of each day at hand and try to make it better. Her happiness in life came each glimmering moment when unconditional love was shared with every person she met. Her presence on this earth will be greatly missed, but her smile, joy and ability to live life to its fullest will be carried on through family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Carolyn 'Key' Stewart, and her husband Bill, Ardmore; a son, Terry Key, and his wife, Joni, Lone Grove: granddaughters, Tami La Grone, Dallas, Shelly Key, Lewisville, Texas Laura bray, Fort Campbell, Ky., and Jera Lynn Key, Lone Grove; a grandson, Jesse Rigney, Lone Grove;
there great-grandaughters, a great-grandson, and her sister-in-law, Joyce Key, Ardmore.
Services for Jacque Joy Key, 83 was held at 2 p.m. March 22, 2008, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home. The Rev. Reuben Walls officiated.
Bearers were Buddy Morton, Mike Oakes, Johnny Burris, Bill Henderson, Gene Fryar and Raymond Wright.
Honorary bearers include Johnny Maher, Dan Harris, Bill Clark, Tim West, Sonny Herriott, Clyde Walker, Sonny Reed, Larry Mitchell, Marshall Mitchell, D.E. Mitchell, and all the firends Jacque dearly loved.
Family visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m. March 21, 2008, at the funeral home.
