Former Shawnee resident Maurine A. Aitken, 97, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at an Oklahoma City nursing home. She was born October 11, 1910, in McLoud to James and Abigail Beeson.
She was married to Garland H. Aitken.
Maurine was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Glaus and husband, Garland Aitken.
Survivors include her granddaughters, Wendy Baker {Arnie} and Karen Stack {Tom}; grandson, Richard Glaus Jr. {Michelle}; six great-grandchildren and brother, Edgar Beeson {Alice Rose}.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. today at Jamison Cemetery with Glen Pence officiating.
