HARRIET (FORD), b.1801, Greenbush, MA, d.1891, Greenbush, MA, a daughter of Dr. Peleg Ford and Mercy (James) of Greenbush, MA. Dr. Ford and his wife resided in the large white Colonial on the corner of Rt. 3A and Cornet Stetson Rd. in Greenbush, MA.
Harriet and Elijah married on 11/24/1825 in Greenbush. Elijah bought land across from Harriet's family homestead and built a twin gabled house, on the corner of Rt. 3A and Old Oaken Bucket Road in Greenbush, overlooking the pond, where their children were born and where they resided until their deaths.
The children of Elijah and Harriet (Ford) Clapp:
--Elijah Thomas "Lige" Clapp, b.9/8/1826, married Ann Rosini (Clapp) a fourth cousin, and had children.
--Howard Clapp, b.7/6/1829, died young.
--Harriet Augusta Clapp, b.6/23/1832, died unmarried.
--Peleg Ford Clapp, b.1/27/1835, married Mary Lincoln (Manson) and had children.
--Mercy Ford Clapp, b.6/12/1837, married: George Horace Manson and had children.
--Julia Clapp, b.8/17/1843, married George Webster Spaulding and had children).
