Broenneke was a retired carpenter and contractor who built several homes in the Moscow area.
He was born on Feb. 7, 1889, at Seneca, Kan. Broenneke came with his parents to Uniontown, Wash., while still an infant. He was educated in Uniontown.
He married Mayme Hasfurther at Genesee on Sept. 8, 1920. She survives at the Moscow home.
Broenneke was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a World War I veteran.
Beside4s his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Cameron, Moscow, and Mrs. Kenneth Kinder, Pullman; two sons, H. E. "Ike" Broenneke, Moscow; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Fleischman, Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Rose Fleischman, Pullman; a brother, Chris Broennke, Moscow; eight grandchildren and one great-grandaughter.
