James Clarence Eoff was the son of Isaac Alexander Eoff and Missouri Ann Campbell. He married 1/ Lydia Margaret "Maggie" Williams and had children Reuben Clarence Eoff, James Ralph Eoff, Herbert Williams Eoff and Margaret Eoff. After the death of his first wife in 1906, he married 2/ Elizabeth "Lizzie" Franke Jan 8, 1908 Brown Co, Texas (div)

"J C Eoff age 54 died at Arlington Heights Sanitarium in Fort Worth Tuesday. His body was carried to Brownwood and burial was in Brownwood Cemetery by Davis Drug Co. Mr Eoff was a native of Arkansas but came to McGregor from Brownwood two years ago. He was a member of the Taylor-Eoff Drug Firm, a member of the Masonic Lodge and Rotary Club of McGregor. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lev H Taylor of McGregor and two sons of St. Louis, Missouri."
