Isaac Alexander Eoff was the son of William Eoff and Eliza Isabell Hawk. He married Missouri Ann Campbell ca 1858 in Carroll Co, Arkansas, in what is now Boone County. Their children were Richard Campbell Eoff, Aldora "Dora" (Eoff) Brumfield and James Clarence Eoff. He was a retail merchant and dealer in hides and furs.

An affadivit appearing in his brother's military pension papers written by Isaac Alexander Eoff reads:
" I served in the Confederate army. I enlisted in June, 1862 and remained in service to 1865. I went into service in Capt Owens company and Col Peels Regiment. My company was disbanded in short time and I went to Company F, Maj Harrell's Batallion and Gen Cabell's Brigade.....I have resided in Brownwood Texas since August 1899."
