Hays -- Aurelia M. Amrein, 80, Hays, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003. Mrs. Amrein was born Aurelia Sack on May 5, 1923, in Hays. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Albert G. "Al" died in 2002.

Survivors include a son, Allan of Hays; a daughter, Annette Baker of Wichita; a brother, William Sack of California; two sisters, Vera Sack and Marian Dreiling, both of Hays; and six grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hays. There will be a Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary service at 6:30 p.m. today, followed by a parish vigil at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Thomas More Prep-Marian High School music department, Hays, in care of Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, P.O. Box 86, Hays 67601. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
