Mrs. Lucy Virginia Farnsworth, 77, of Pleasant Valley, near Wellsville, died in her home early this morning from the effects of a fractured hip suffered in a fall about five months ago.
Mrs. Farnsworth was born in Tyler County, W. Va., and lived in Wellsville and vicinity for 25 years.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Blanch Beaver of Wheeling, Mrs. Nettie Grimes of Wellsville, and Mrs. Bessie Baker of Shipping Port; four sons, John Farnsworth of Parkersburg, W. Va., and Elijah Farnsworth , Alex Farnsworth and Edward Farnsworth all at home; a sister, Mrs. Harriet Hickenbottom of Toronto, and 26 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the MacLean Funeral Home for rites Thursday at 2 p.m. by Rev. H. W. Eller, pastor of the Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday night at the funeral home.
