Memorial Obituary - Saloma Ann (Wood) Robertson
Saloma Ann Wood was born December 10, 1830 at Norton, Delaware County, Ohio. Departed this life December 18, 1916 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Wm. Warner at Allendale, Missouri. She came with her father to North Missouri in 1842 and settled in Albany, Missouri. She was married to Othneil B. Robertson December 25, 1853. Her husband died in 1903. To this union were born 9 children, 6 of whom are still living. She was a daughter of the Revolution through both branches of her family. She was a great lover of the Bible and endeavored to guide her life thereby, having devoted her entire life in the work of her Master. She united with the Christian Church in the early sixties but later in 1870 she united with the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and remained firm in that faith until death. A short time ago the writer heard her bear her Testimony; she said she knew that the work she had been engaged in was the work of God and she wanted to do His will as long as she lived.
The funeral was held at the Saints Church at Allendale in charge of by the writer assisted by Wm. Birk, December 19 to a large crowd. May the Lord let His Holy Spirit rest upon the bruised hearts of those children to comfort their sorrow and guide them into all truths.
