He was born in Orilla, Ontario, Canada, son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Moffatt, and lived here 55 years. He was retired since 1933.
Surviving are a son, Dr Thomas Moffatt, of Denver, Colo; four daughters, Mrs Wayne (Lenore) Anthony, of Dubuque; Mrs Harker (Ruth) Spensley, of Denver, Colo.; Mrs Roger (Grace) Worley, of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs Jerry (Betty) Cummins, of Boulder, Colo., and 12 grandchildren.
Robert had a longtime girlfriend, Florence Traut.

NOTE: Even though Robert's nickname was "Baskey," a researcher once questioned whether Ellen Baskerville really was his ancestor. I can tell you now (in 2020) that Ancestry thrulines show at least 15 known genetic cousins who are related to me (Robert's great granddaughter) whose ancestor was a sibling of Ellen Baskerville. That's pretty good evidence.
